We looked for a good sour cream lemon pie recipe for a while and finally found this one from Crisco. The secret is to add the sour cream after the filling is cool. It's Kerry's favorite pie.
Bottom Crust: Buttermilk
Sour Cream Lemon With Wax Paper |
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
3-1/2 Tablespoons cornstarch
1 Tablespoon grated lemon peel
1/4 cup butter
1 cup sour cream
Prepare bottom crust by baking at 450 F and cool crust completely.

This is my absolute favorite!! It's so creamy with the perfect amount of sweet and tart! Reed always makes this one for me--good thing I got a piece--it was devoured!!
